Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Taft Elementary: An All-Star Season!

My name is Dr. Lindsey Rosa, and I am excited to continue serving as your Principal for my second year. With 22 years in education and a background as a proud product of Riverside Unified School District, my journey has shaped my dedication to our community. I began my professional career as a Science, Health, and AVID teacher and later served as an Activities Director before transitioning to administration. This year marks my thirteenth year as an administrator, and I am deeply honored to lead and serve the Taft community.


My passion for education is driven by my commitment to creating a safe and secure environment where students thrive and staff feel valued and respected. I cherish our traditions and celebrations that foster joy and pride in our collective work. Building community through family and teamwork is vital to making our school a positive and connected place. I am dedicated to leveraging my staff's expertise to enrich student learning experiences and cultivate a culture of belonging and respect. A school's success is rooted in a positive learning community that feels valued, safe, and committed to continuous academic improvement.


On a personal note, my family and I are deeply rooted in Riverside. We are all proud products of the Riverside Unified School District and active members of the community. My husband, Kevin, is a Division I Collegiate Water Polo Coach at Cal Baptist University. Our children, Brayden (19) and Bailey (18) are now in college after attending Riverside schools and growing up in this community. I am immensely grateful for the amazing educators who supported them throughout their K-12 journey. I want the same wonderful experience for your child. I want them to love coming to school, to be challenged, to become their best selves, and to help make this world a better place. 


I am enthusiastic about working with your children and partnering with you to enhance our school-home-community relationship. I look forward to seeing your children through your eyes and supporting their growth and achievements throughout the school year. As the saying goes, "Together we achieve more," I am honored to be part of the beautiful Taft community.
